The Linger, longer artists will also respond to these questions, the answers given to us before and on the day, the places, the “traffic’ and conditions on the day.

Visual arts, dance, theatre and creative engagement will take us on a shared journey of exploring our common spaces. And every day will be different!

Come and be part of the experience and document your and others experiences using our Instagram account #lingerlongerinunley. Take a photo and contribute to our community art gallery!

Please come along to:

Glen Osmond Road (cnr of Young St and Kenilworth Road)

Unley Road ( cnr of Unley Rd and Oxford Terrace)

Goodwood Road (in and around Goodwood Primary School and Rosa Street)

Linger, longer is an artistic collaboration between the City of Unley and Dario Vacirca and artists,Emma Beech, Erin Fowler, Josephine Were, Maya Sollier and El Pablo from Open Space.

Following our live community engagement, we will be creating a touring exhibition graphically re-presenting images from the project in an artistic and flexible format. Panels will be placed in various public locations for short periods of time to encourage further debate of what makes a place a space.

Linger, longer is part of the first year of exciting and innovative public arts projects linked to the new Involve Unley – Public Arts Strategy http://www.unley.sa.gov.au/page.aspx?u=2139&reqUrl=artsstrategy

The purpose of the first year is to test and experiment with temporary public arts to educate, inform, facilitate and collaborate in a new way of engaging with our community through the expression of the arts. Diverse art forms will be used to bring our public realm alive.

Also watch out for Found, out to complement Linger, longer.

For more information on this project please contact Matthew Ives Cultural Development Coordinator mives@unley.sa.gov.au

We are looking to ask some key place making questions around key locations in Unley. This topic relates to the space on the corner of Glen Osmond Road, Young Street and Kenilworth Road.

    Why do you come here?

What does this area mean for you?

    What do you imagine here?

     “I wish I could……………in this space”

What is your role in creating a place?
