We’d like to extend our thanks to all community members who took the time to complete the Animal Management Plan Survey earlier this year. Your input has been invaluable in helping Council better understand local needs and expectations around dog and cat management.

On 29 September 2025, Council Members attended a workshop to receive an update on the Animal Management Plan, review a summary of community engagement outcomes, and discuss anticipated changes to State legislation.

Community feedback, along with these legislative updates and guidance from Elected Members, will shape the development of the new Animal Management Plan. A draft Plan is expected to be released for community consultation in early 2026.
