The City of Unley is pleased to present our draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) - an important plan that Council will use to improve access to programs, services and facilities that provide people with disability the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of society.

The City of Unley has endorsed a draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan for the purpose of community consultation which sets out a proposed direction and priorities for the City of Unley to ensure improved access and inclusion for citizens of all ages who are living with disability.

In building our DAIP, the City of Unley has aligned the draft Plan with the State Disability Inclusion Plan Inclusive SA 2019-2023 to ensure it meets its obligations in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2018.

The draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan articulates the things that Council will do to help address current and emerging health challenges and provide us with a framework for positive action in the years ahead.

We are seeking your comments on the draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, to ascertain your support for the proposed key focus areas and to provide our community with an opportunity to make improvements to the draft Plan.

We want to hear from our community including people living with disability and their carers so that the City of Unley can ensure it provides a more accessible and inclusive community for everyone.

We want to hear from you on elements of the Plan you do/do not support and to hear your suggestions on other actions Council should be doing to positively impact access and inclusion for people with disability.
