Cultural Plan 2020-2025

We are applying a cultural lens on our Community Plan and we are inviting our community to help us shape our new 5- year Cultural Plan.

We encourage you to either contribute online using the survey attached and/ or come along to one of our drop in sessions and talk to us about Unley’s unique culture.

We need to know what we have done well in the past and what we should be doing in the future. We have some questions that need answering!

How can we reflect, respect, enhance and inform a unique Unley culture?

We want our Cultural Plan to have strong guiding principles in terms of establishing, developing, implementing and evaluating our Cultural Plan. What should be these key principles?

What are the ‘musts’ for our Plan?

What are the opportunities we are missing?

What are the global trends we should be paying attention to in order to realise a culturally vital community?

And most importantly how can we do this in Unley?

In the Document Library you can find some preliminary work we have done which may spark your inspired contribution:

• Some potential definitions of culture
• Guiding principles from the Cultural Impact Framework completed in 2017 by 5 SA Councils and Arts South Australia
• A graphic of current services, projects, activities, events and festivals we have delivered in the cultural realm in recent years and some flagship examples
