In early 2025, Council asked the community about its concerns and interests to help develop a new Animal Management Plan.
After considering the community’s feedback, Council has prepared a Draft Dog and Cat Management Plan.
The Draft Plan will guide the City of Unley’s management of dogs and cats for the years 2026–2031.
The Draft Plan informs the community of both Council’s and the community’s obligations for dog and cat management.
The Draft Plan includes Council’s ongoing services and proposes 2 strategic projects:
1. A review of off-leash areas to support community and dog needs.
3. Cat management options study to support cats, community and the environment.
Have your say
Do you support the strategic projects? What do you think they need to consider? Would you like to be consulted in their planning?
