What the King William Road North Precinct looks like now
The precinct includes established offices and retail, heritage homes, churches, and aged care facilities. While some areas of the precinct are thriving, others reflect underutilisation of land. The population has declined, particularly among youth, and housing consists largely of low-rise units. 

 
Looking Ahead
The precinct has opportunities to transform the City’s ‘northern gateway’ into a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood by leveraging excellent transport, proximity to the CBD, and a mix of commercial and residential opportunities. The area has the foundations to become a well-connected, attractive destination. Sensitive redevelopment can attract new residents and businesses, while reinforcing the area’s green, historic character.
