North of the main strip, the area transitions into a commercial corridor with opportunity for greater density. Despite its excellent location and access, population has been declining which impacts the local strength of the main street.  

Looking Ahead
Maintain and enhance the charm of the King William Road Main Street as a premier boutique shopping and dining destination. Encourage new opportunities for medium-density, mixed-use development on larger consolidated sites to better support the popularity of the precinct.  

At the northern extent of the precinct, larger sites offer opportunities for revitalisation through high-quality mixed-use development aligned with the precinct’s distinct character.
