What is Your Say Unley?
Your Say Unley is an online engagement tool which provides you with the opportunity be involved in important issues and ideas that will shape the City of Unley. Your Say Unley gives you the chance to actively share your views, discuss a range of topics with others as well as keep you informed of the latest projects and topics. Your Say Unley provides a centralised hub for community engagement to assist Council in exploring options for decision making.
Participants will be asked to contribute to online discussions and surveys and will have access to detailed information such as maps, drawings, concept briefs and images. These will be available in the online library of the online forum established for the consultation.
What are the advantages of online engagement?
Online community engagement can encourage greater participation in engagement activities by providing additional avenues for members of the community to voice their views, which are less limited by constraints such as place, time and other access restrictions.

How can I participate?
Simply click on the Register tab at the top right hand of the page, when prompted create a USERNAME (Note: your comments will appear under your user name and you can comment anonymously through a username of your choice) create a PASSWORD of your choice provide a valid email address, your age, gender and the location in which you live as well as your key topics of interest.
Is it anonymous?
Yes! Your privacy is totally protected because Your Say Unley is hosted and moderated by an external independent organisation, Bang the Table.
No third parties have access to your details.
Council only has access to your details to inform you of up and coming consultations that you identified as your topics of interest.
What will happen with my comments?
When you submit a comment to a consultation forum, your comment will be posted online where others can read and comment on your suggestion.
When each forum is complete, all contributions are collated and used by the relevant project officer to inform the development of strategies, programs and activities, or to gain an insight into commuinty views and opinions.
Often, feedback provided online is used in conjuction with other face-to-face consultation activities such as workshops, meetings, open days or surveys.
When each consultation closes, contribitions are compiled into a report, which will be presented to Council when considering the particular matter.
Please note that all feedback provide during consultation will be considered, however this does not mean that every suggestion will be taken on board and adopted as proposed.
How is the site moderated?
All moderation is carried out by Bang the Table and is independent of City of Unley. The moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed form the site immediately.
What is the difference between a formal submission and a survey or forum?
Formal submissions may be required for some specific projects or decisions or to fulfil a legislative obligation. A formal submission requires the contact name and address of participants which becomes public information and is provided to Council for consideration.
Surveys and forums may be used for general, non-statutory prescribed consultation where we are gathering feedback and/or generating ideas through discussions and further collaboration.
How can I be kept informed of a consultation once its closed?
To be kept informed of any news, progress or decisions made regarding a consultation, simply click on the
subscribe button located under the title of each consultation.You will then be sent an email notification each time a new 'news item' or 'project update' is added to the page.
