Everard Park Development Plan Amendment

This consultation has concluded.

The City of Unley is seeking your comments on proposed amendments to the Unley (City) Development Plan.

The City of Unley is considering a request for amendments to its Development Plan, to replace the existing Residential B350 Zone and Residential Streetscape (Built Form) Zone with the Residential Regeneration Zone.

The area in question is a site bordered by Norman Terrace, Fourth Avenue and Ross Street in the suburb of Everard Park.

The preparation of this DPA follows an approach from Life Care who are seeking support for a contemporary aged care accommodation redevelopment on the site.

Council has determined that the preparation of this DPA is consistent with the City of Unley’s Community Plan and the State Government’s Planning Strategy, as outlined in The 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide.

Both plans seek to maintain and preserve the character of most neighbourhoods across Adelaide’s urban areas, while also encouraging and endorsing development for targeted growth in appropriate, strategic locations, chiefly along and around main roads and transport corridors.

The City of Unley has responsibility for the content of the Development Plan Amendment.

The Minister for Planning has responsibility for the approval of policy, as it is proposed or with amendments.

The Minister may also choose to reject the DPA.

The DPA will be on consultation from 14 November 2019 until 16 January 2020.
