HELP SHAPE SAFER STREETS IN FULLARTON AND MYRTLE BANK

We’re developing a Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Plan to make local streets in Fullarton and Myrtle Bank safer, calmer and more enjoyable for everyone. We’ve put together 15 draft recommendations and would love your feedback before the LATM plan is finalised.

The Story So Far

Last year, we asked the community for feedback on eight recommendations to improve traffic and safety in the area. To learn more about the first round of consultation, visit the Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Plan Zone 5 – Fullarton and Myrtle Bank page on Your Say Unley.

We received 146 submissions, with over 70% of people supporting all eight recommendations for further investigation. Based on the feedback and further design work:

  • The original eight recommendations have now been developed into concept designs.
  • We’ve also added seven new recommendations suggested by the community, bringing us to 15 draft recommendations in total.

What’s in the Draft Plan

  • Recommendations 1 to 11 include concept designs and suggested street upgrades.
  • Recommendation 12, 14 and 15 involve advocacy to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) for issues outside Council’s control.
  • Recommendation 13 reflects community interest in improving Riverdale and Rossington Avenues as a neighbourhood bicycle route. This is proposed to be considered in the next update of Council’s Five-Year Walking and Cycling Plan.

You can see a summary of all 15 recommendations here, or explore the full detailed report here.

How to provide feedback

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the 15 draft recommendations. Your feedback will help shape the final LATM Plan for Fullarton and Myrtle Bank. Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Read the Draft Proposals: Community Engagement Round 2 Report.
  2. Visit our drop-in sessions at Scammell Reserve Girl Guides Hall. Project staff will be there to answer your questions.
    • Thursday 20 November, 5.15 – 6.15 pm, or
    • Saturday 22 November, 10 – 11 am.
  3. Complete the survey below.
