Meditation and Vedic chanting camps
With meditation, the physiology undergoes a change and the body is filled with more prana (energy). This results in joy, peace, enthusiasm as the level of prana in the body increases. Meditation also brings the brainwave pattern into an Alpha state that promotes healing.
UNESCO proclaimed the tradition of Vedic chant a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on November 7, 2003. Ancient seers of Bharat (India) identified certain specific sound vibrations that bring the mind to a state of calmness and peace besides bringing other benefits. These sounds are called mantras. They allow the mind to dissolve and repose.
Young children who are constantly bombarded with information, technology and gadgets in our fast paced world, need help to compose and reflect. We can inculcate best values and ethics by engaging them in quiet reflections and this can only be achieved through mediation. As Vedic chanting adds beauty to meditation, this program will help our young generation improve their analytical ability and decision making capacity. Little can be understood about this in words – you truly need to experience it yourself.
