A depiction of people who live and work on and around the northern end of Salisbury Street in the City of Unley

This project is part of a long-range study which the City of Unley is conducting to maximise street use for all people who live and work in the Council area.

Salisbury Street has been selected as it best represents the challenges typically faced in a street near a busy business precinct. With limited parking available, the street must provide a balance of parking for business staff, business visitors and residents, which is difficult to achieve.

Examples of day-to-day challenges observed in the area from Monday-Friday:

  • Un-restricted angle parking north of Park Lane to Greenhill road is fully occupied
  • Drivers sometimes disobey the ‘no entry’ sign into Salisbury street at the northern end
  • Permit parks on Salisbury street are vacant during business hours

An external consultant has been engaged to facilitate this work. This will ensure impartiality around survey findings and confidentiality during the interview process.

Survey participants who agree to be interviewed may be contacted via the research consultant to discuss their survey further. Those who do not nominate for interview, will have their survey results forwarded to the consultant anonymously.
